Eco Psychotherapy (Nature Based)
Available as Face-to-Face Therapy only
As a therapist grounded in the principles of Gestalt therapy, I advocate for a broader perspective that encompasses our relationship with the natural world. I recognise in myself and as a human collective, we've drifted away from our intrinsic connection with the environment that has sustained us for millennia. This disconnection often lies at the core of much of our distress, that I feel runs in the background of my experience as low-key grief.
This fundamental truth has often been overlooked or relegated to the side-lines. In my practice, I embrace a holistic approach, drawing from the wisdom of nature to inform our healing journey. Whether conducting sessions on my property nestled in the tranquil hinterland of the Sunshine Coast or amidst the serene surroundings of Kondalilla National Park, I invite clients to immerse themselves in the natural world.
Here, amidst the rustling leaves and the gentle flow of streams, we delve into the depths of the self within the context of the broader ecosystem. Nature becomes not just a backdrop but an active participant in our therapeutic process. It offers solace, nurturance, and a profound reminder of our inherent belongingness.
Through this reconnection with the natural world, clients are reminded of their significance and interdependence within the web of life. It's a gentle yet powerful affirmation of our intrinsic worth and the interconnectedness that binds us all.
